Historic Golgota Street Property Sold – Budapest!

We wanted to share another great mandate experience with you, one that involved a most interesting property.

Congratulations to our client, RHEMA Szolgáltató Kft, on the sale of a circa 7,000 sqm historic building located on Golgota Street in Budapest’s 8th district. For approximately 30 years, the property served as both a place of worship and a conference centre. The new owners will continue its legacy as a House of God, bringing fresh energy and life to this remarkable building.
The vast hall has long been dedicated to social purposes, forming part of the mixed-use MÁVAG Colony, built between 1908 and 1910 for the workers of the Hungarian rail company MÁVAG. Designed by Pál Lipták, the development originally provided 648 apartments for nearly 3,000 residents, reflecting the era’s progressive ideals of worker wellbeing. Distinctive features such as architecture, brickwork and the water tower have helped establish the colony as a local landmark.

We are delighted to have played a role in the sale of this historically and architecturally significant property.
